Research Initiatives

Notion Studio works in conjunction with its sister project Media Content Lab on research initiatives.

With Notion Studio's emphasis on Animation / Multimedia / Video and Media Content Lab's emphasis on Web Technology / E-marketing / Print, the projects can offer a wealth of expertise around the general theme of media content and are committed to instigating research and knowledge exchange between academics and professionals.

Committed to innovation, development of new technology, new media content and new processes in the new media arena, Notion Studio and Media Content Lab invite academics, students and companies, interested in forming research led partnerships with us, to make contact.

Partnerships could be developed in any of the following ways:

Industry Related and Collaborative Research

For example, research projects could be around:

  • Animation, Narrative and Realisation
  • Emerging Moving Image Content
  • Technology and its relation to e-learning

Studentships

Higher Degrees and Ph D Studentships on media related themes.

Knowledge Transfer Partnerships

Knowledge Transfer Partnerships offer an ideal way of sharing design expertise between the university and companies.

A KTP programme is a partnership, the company identifies the problem for which they do not have the resource or technical capability to solve alone. The University provides access to skills, knowledge and technology and the experience of applying them in a practical environment.
